Na arte de Azulay é possível
identificar traços que remetem o
espectador a artistas que vão do surrealismo de
Magritte passando pelo
dripping
(gotejamento)
e a pintura de ação (
action painting
) de
Pollock , à
op (optical) art
de Vasarely e ao
pop de Warhol e Lichtenstein. Azulay, porém,
ultrapassa essas influências ao promover
distorções em 3-D de rótulos, marcas e elementos
gráficos para formas inusitadas e abstratas.

In the art of Azulay it is possible to identify
traces that refer the viewer to artists that
range from the surreal of Magritte, going
across the dripping and the action painting
of Pollock , to the op art of Vasarely, and
the pop art of Warhol and Lichtenstein.
Azulay, however, goes beyond those
influences on promoting distortions in 3-D
of labels, brands, and graphical elements
seeking unusual and abstract shapes.
